Watch
My wristwatch had a broken wristband, so I took it to Mappin and Webb on Regent Street to have that sorted (plus a new battery, since the last one was put in about two years ago).
I would have happily taken it to the watch shop at Stratford, but at the sight of the winged hourglass they declared it far too upmarket for their skills, and insisted that I take it to Regent Street.
The English idea of Customer Service continues to boggle me.
Over and out.

Hi Jason!
It's been so long since I blogged - or visited yours - let me see if I still remember my password.

Ah - I'm in!
Now - I see you have been busy interviewing bands, etc.
That's great.
In September of 2007 I was elected the president of the London Writers' Society - a fledging group - founded to 1) bring a sense of community to the city's writers and 2) run critique groups.
Although it's been like a job, I'm not complaining because I've made some good friends and come out of my isolationist (writer's) shell.
The bad news is my writing output has gone 'way down. But, in many ways, I'm happier.
It won't last forever - a new president will be in place before long - and I always have a million projects.
Anyway - I was searching for some photos that I (see me slap myself in the head here) apparently deleted from my computer.
I remembered I posted them to my Tea & Thoughts blog.
Sure enough - I found them - and with them a comment from you (and your link) - so here I am!
I wish you a happy Spring. Ours has sprung beautifully here. Tulips and budding tulip trees all over the place.
Walking around without jackets and a few days ago in sandals.
The weatherman says it will get chilly again, but our snow seems to have left the building.
Wishing you every possible happiness, Jason...
Clyo ;)
