Reading and stuff...

Last week I finished reading The House of Leaves by Mark Z Danielewski.

While I was down at Elmer I raided the second hand bookshop down there and found the second volume of Michael Moorcock's Oswald Bastable Trilogy (also known as The Nomad of the Timestream Trilogy).

Reading that took me all of one night, so when I got back to London I took another couple of days to read the third volume.

And just for a change of gears I ploughed through Space Captain Smith, a rather goofy SF parody that I had found at the WH Smiths at London City Airport while seeing off my parents before they set off to see my sister in NYC.

Now I've picked up another second-hand-shop prize, The Crow Road by Iain Banks (mainstream fiction, so no 'M'), and 165 pages in I have to say that it is not half bad.
